WHAT'S NEXT AFTER ELECTIONS ?

First, I have to say I congratulate Senator Noynoy Aquino for being our next president of our country. I will respect the will of God and the will of the people. I ask to the Filipino people to support the new president and pray for him in every reforms that he will do for our country.

Second, I would like to thank Mr. Nicanor Perlas for fighting a good fight for our people. Because of you, you have given us a right choice in this election. You have raised the spirit of activism in all of us. For us, you are the champion in our hearts. You are a rebelutionary. Always adhering the call of New Politics. I would like to thank the volunteers and supporters who have spent their time, money, and talent, for a righteous and noble cause. I want to say that our efforts are not in vain. I also thank the 46, 143 (and still counting) who voted for Nick. Your vote is not wasted because you have voted according to your conscience and conviction. I hope that you will still adhere to the principle of building a new Philippines.

Third, you would ask if what's gonna be next for us after this election. For me, I will be more radical in doing something worthwhile for the country I and God both loved. I will never turn a blind eye on the injustice, poverty, and other social maladies that plagues us. I will be an activist for God's greater glory and to the service of the country.

We can't wait for another three or six years before we get ourselves together for one cause. The next six years will be a long-term training for the better challenges ahead. We have just planted the seed of new politics by starting a movement that upholds to it. All we gonna do is to water it and care for it. For that time comes, when it grow strong, we can emerge more than our expectations.

BECAUSE OF THAT, I, DANIEL JOSEPH T. CASTRO, WILL BE A TRUE PANGMASA IN WORD AND IN DEED !!!

Once again, Filipinos are at it again.
They poured out their anger on Adam Carolla, a famous radio personality in America, for his hard-hitting comments on Filipinos especially our very own boxer Manny Pacquiao. Here is the full comment of Carolla against Pacquiao and the Filipinos:

On my opinion, although the comments are so destructive, maybe there's a truth on it, and we should not be onion-skinned about it. He said that we Filipinos are very dependent to Pacquiao as a symbol of our national pride. Sa totoo lang, naiinis ako kapag may nariringgan akong tao na pagkatapos manalo si Pacquiao eh sasabihin na siya ay "proud to be Pinoy". Para bang napaka-passive ang response natin sa national pride sa halip na maging inspirasyon sa bawat isa na gamitin ang sariling mga talento at lakas. Lagi na lang inaasa sa iba ang national pride.

At kapag national pride natin ang babanatan, ang bilis natin mag-react. Bakit ano ba ang nagawa mo sa bansa natin para makilala ang ating bansa?

I ask Filipinos to suspend judgement first and listen carefully to what he is trying to say. And then, tignan natin kung totoo ang kanyang mga sinasabi. Huwag tayong balat-sibuyas. Harapin natin ang katotohanan ng buong tapang at bigyan nating ng kaukulang solusyon para hindi na muli tayong mapulaan. Aantayin pa ba natin na isang dayuhan na naman ang pumuna sa atin?

1700% TUITION FEE INCREASE IN PUP MAIN: TOO HARD TO BEAR

Students of the Polytechnic University Of The Philippines walked out of their classes last Friday to protest against the 1700% tuition fee increase from P12/unit to a whopping P200/unit. The students are outraged that even chairs and desk were not spared and throw them out of the building.

I, being a student of PUP in Santa Rosa, is against this unfair move by the PUP administration. And although they say that the increase will only take effect on the incoming freshmen, it would only send a chilling effect on the future freshmen.

I hope that the PUP administration will ponder a thousand times on what will be the implications of their action to the poor students before they implement this.

I also appeal to the students to stay calm and do spare the school property. Let's be civilized while we voice our sentiments.

I was amazed and disappointed with what LP presidentiable Noynoy Aquino said about ignoring debates and simply focus on the normal campaign on the streets. This proves that this man is not worthy of my sacred vote just because he is like chicken feared of getting grilled on debates and forums.

SEN. Noynoy Aquino won’t be joining presidential debates from now on.

Saying debates are just a waste of time, the Liberal Party presidential bet said he will no longer attend debates.

Aquino earlier challenged his closest rival, Sen. Manny Villar, to a debate “anytime, anywhere”. But with his new pronouncement, a face off between the two candidates will no longer occur.

Aquino said debates are no longer in the LP’s list of activities. He said aside from being a waste of time, debates do not attract listeners or viewers.

“I’ll be very honest with you, sino ba ang nakikinig doon?” he told reporters.

He said it takes him one whole day to prepare for a debate that lasts only three hours.

“Tapos sa dulo may three minutes ka magsasalita at baka makatagpo ka pa ng partial moderator,” Aquino said.

He was apparently referring to Antonio Lopez, who served as the moderator in the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry forum, and who Aquino described was “biased” for Villar.

Instead of attending debates, Aquino said they will continue campaigning around the country as they targeted 27 provinces.

Aquino also did not show up at a presidential debate organized by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. His absence angered Quiboloy, who said he had no word of honor.

So you will never support Nicanor Perlas because he is not winnable and having no chance of winning this election. You say that he is a "panggulo". You believe that our campaign is a waste of time and a waste of vote. Okay fine. I respect your opinion because we are in this "democratic" country. I will never pick a fight on you, but you need to think about this just for a minute or two.

We have waited for so long for a man to step out of his comfort zone and ran the highest position in government. We are longing for man with professionalism and a platform to challenge the status quo. Nicanor Perlas stood because he believe that we are tired of choosing the "lesser evil" and choosing base on political machinery and popularity but in the end failed to change this nation. Nicanor Perlas believe that we are mature enough to vote for the right candidate. Nicanor Perlas believe that new politics must be born.

Now, if we don't for somebody who will embody our dreams and aspirations as a nation, then we decided the fate of this nation. We have to place our bet to new politics which Nicanor Perlas advocates, because if we don't and instill to our old excuses, then we give these tyrants a happy smile while we suffer the consequences of our excuses.

Napabalitang namigay ng tig-bebente si presidentiable Manny Villar sa mga bata sa kanyang pangangampanya sa Batangas. Subalit sinabi ng COMELEC na ang ginawang ito ni Villar maaring ikunsiderang "vote-buying" ayon sa Omnibus Election Code. Ngunit ayon kay James Jimenez, tagapagsalita ng COMELEC na mahirap idetermina kung "vote-buying" ang ginawang Villar dahil mga bata ang binigyan ng pera at sila ay wala sa voting age. Ngunit sinabi niya na dahil puwedeng makaimpluwensiya ang mga bata sa kanilang mga magulang sa pagboto, maaari pang pumasok ito sa asunto.

Ang ginawang ito ni Manny Villar ay talagang tahasang paglabag sa Omnibus Election Code dahil ginamit ang mga bata upang impluwensiyahan ang kanilang mga magulang na iboto siya. Ngunit isa itong tawag-pansin sa COMELEC upang muling pag-aralan ang OEC at irepaso upang magkaroon ng ngipin laban sa mga bumibili ng boto. At pakiusap sa mga botante, huwag niyong ibenta ang karapatan mong pumili nang malaya at hindi naiimpluwensiyahan ng pera. Huwag mo itong ipagpalit sa maliit na halaga dahil mabilis din itong mawawala. Ngayong Pebrero 22 ay muling gugunitain ng buong bayan ang ika-24 na anibersaryo ng unang People Power Revolution noong 1986. Noong araw na yaon ay nagkaisa tayo upang patalsikin sa Malacanang ang dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos. Pero 24 na taon mula nang nangyari ito sa ating bansa, tila unti-unting nawala ang kanyang kinang. Dahil sa ngayon, patuloy pa rin ang kahirapan, digmaan, korupsyon, at pag-abuso sa karapatang-pantao. Hanggang ngayon, patuloy pa ring gumagala ang mga maysala sa pag-lustay ng pera ng bayan noong mga panahong yaon. Patuloy pa ring gumagala ang mga galamay ni Marcos.

Sa madaling salita, bigo ang nangyaring rebolusyon noong 1986. Kung talagang ibinalik na natin ang demokrasya, bakit patuloy pa rin ang pagpatay sa mga mamamahayag na umabot sa isandaan mahigit? Ano kaya ang nangyari?

Naniniwala ako ng nagkulang tayo sa EDSA 1, ngunit hindi pa huli ang lahat. Ngayong darating na Mayo ay isang rebolusyon ang muling sisiklab. Rebolusyon na pupuno sa mga naging pagkukulang natin noong unang People Power. Magkaisa tayo ngayon na may iisang layunin at vision. Muli nating buuin ang isang bagong Pilipinas. Itatag natin ang isang bagong pulitika na mag-aalaga sa yumi at ganda ng bansang ito. Tayong lahat ang magbabago ng Pilipinas.

On Business Groups Snobbing Alternative Candidates

I've read this latest post on The Delano Observer regarding independent presidential candidate Nicanor Perlas being snobbed on purpose by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Makati Business Club. According to the blog, it seems that businessmen are not interested on the platforms of presidentiables with low survey ratings.

This was not the first time Perlas snobbed by a business group. The Cebu Chamber Of Commerce also snobbed Perlas up to the last minute from the presidential forum in Cebu which they conducted.

I call on these business groups not to be picky on inviting presidential candidates to present platforms. Napaghahalataan na kayong may pinapanigan kayo dahil ang inimbithan ninyong mga kandidato ay negosyante o di kaya kamag-anak ng pinaka-maimpluwensiyang negosyante sa Pilipinas. Be fair and square to all candidates. Give them a chance to present their platforms. Hindi porke mababa sa survey ay hindi niyo pakikinggan.

Masasabi kong hindi lang nakatuon lamang kay Nick ang kantang ito. Ipinapahiwatig ng kantang ito ang involvement ng bayan sa pagsulong at pagbabago ng Pilipinas at una itong magsisimula sa pagpili ng tamang kandidato na may matibay na track record at malinaw at detalyadong plataporma. I was quite disappointed when people criticize the emergence of a presidential candidate whose track record and platform are exemplary. People would say, “Mananalo ba yan, eh di naman siya kilala dito?”, or worse, “Bakit ako boboto sa siguradong matatalo?”, and that’s that they can say. They believe that this presidential candidate would be a sore loser because of the old notions of winnability and because people get used with the old system.

It’s a sad fact that we Pilipinos get used with the old bureaucracy rather than getting out of that system and go for the new. But the things is, when people hear about this candidate, whose not known, but with a good track record and a systematic platform, Pilipinos rejected him/her.

In his speech, Barrack Obama rebuke those politicians who talk and talk, but never act.

Let me share a story from Marlon Torres, public information officer for the labor group Pagkakaisa ng Manggagawa sa Timog Katagalugan-Kilusang Mayo Uno (Pamantik-KMU) about the struggle of workers at Nestle Corporation in Cabuyao,Laguna(my home province), whose justice is still denied despite the Supreme Court's decision to include the issue worker's retirement benefits on the Collective Baraganing Agreement(CBA) talks. I also share this story to all the presidentiables to address to issue of labor oppression done by the largest multinational food company in the world.

Behind Nestlé ad blitz
Media such as print, radio, and television continues to be bombarded by Nestlé commercial advertisements, featuring big names in Philippine show business. Vilma Santos, Cesar Montano, Tweety de Leon, Margie Barretto, Ruffa Gutierrez, Ai-Ai delas Alas, and Kris Aquino are only some of the highly-paid personalities promoting the values-oriented “Choose Wellness, Choose Nestlé” commercial aphorism.

What the public does not know (or what might have been kept from their knowledge), the Swiss-owned multinational company covers up its most atrocious acts against its workers and scoffs at the Supreme Court (SC) decision by way of conditioning the public with the hypocritical “choose wellness” ad. Nestlé promotes a culture of deception while denying justice to its workers for more than five years now.
The Nestlé Cabuyao workers in Laguna, Philippines went to strike on January 14, 2002 when the company used as pre-condition in the collective bargaining negotiations the non-inclusion of the workers’ Retirement Benefits. Despite the sacrifices perceived by the workers, the legitimate strike is backed by the 1991 SC decision affirming the NLRC (National Labor Relations Commission) decision that the Retirement Benefits is a legitimate collective bargaining agreement (CBA) issue.

Unfortunately, the workers’ picketline which was supposed to barricade the company gates was often destroyed by the management’s brutal rampage. Company guards, goons, police and military are garrisoned within and outside the gates.
The campaign “There’s Blood in Your Coffee, Boycott Nestlé” was launched by the workers as one of the leverages to air their legitimate grievance to the public and compel the Nestlé management to settle the labour dispute. It also aimed to counter the vast influence of Nestlé in media as well as its monopoly in the Philippine market.

At the start, the campaign hardly affects the company’s market reputation. However, the campaign caught popular attention and gained wide support in the local, as well as the international community, when two Nestlé unionists were murdered consecutively in September 2005. Luciano Enrique Romero Molina, a Sinaltrainal leader and Nestlé worker who was among the many workers tagged by Nestlé as persona non grata, was murdered on September 11 in Colombia. Diosdado Fortuna, Nestlé Cabuyao union president and chairman of Pagkakaisa ng Manggagawa sa Timog Katagalugan-Kilusang Mayo Uno (Solidarity of Workers in Southern Tagalog-May First Movement), was murdered while on his way home from the picketline on September 22.
Many believe that the murder of the two Nestlé workers is not coincidental. The murder of Nestlé Cabuyao union president Meliton Roxas in front of the company gates during their strike in 1989 is another case to prove Nestlé’s blood debts to its workers.

The SC ruled on the labour dispute in Nestlé Cabuyao on August 22, 2006, reaffirming its 1991 decision; hence, directs the Nestlé management and union to go back to the negotiating table to pursue the CBA negotiations.
The Nestlé management persistently snubs the highest court of the land. In fact, in its statement in a news article, Nestlé claimed that the workers who tried to barricade the company gates on January 14 are no longer Nestlé workers (Niña Catherine Calleja, “Workers at multinational food firm barricade factory”, Philippine Daily Inquirer 17 January 2007: A15). Such a statement diverts the real issue and is a blatant disrespect to the latest SC decision.
The ads blitzkrieg came in time and attuned to complement the news statement after January 14.

As Nestlé lavishly spends millions in ads, we have to scrutinize well enough their many purposes, aside from the endorsement of products and conquering the market. After probably knowing the real score, we don’t have to choose wellness if it’s Nestlé. Do we?

Mendiola Massacre : 23 Years And Still Counting

Today marks the 23 anniversary of the peasant's march to Mendiola that end on bloodshed as 13 farmers died because of a violent dispersal. This happened during the administration of Cory Aquino whom his cousin, Eduardo 'Danding' Cojuangco owns the Hacienda Luisita in Tarlac.
The Mendiola Massacre paved the way to pass and sign the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law in 1988, but after what happened in Mendiola, the struggle continues for farmers to really own a land and not to be subjects to large landlords. As following adminstrations went by, there was no clear agenda of whether this lands be given to the rightful owners. Until another version of the Mendiola Massacre, this time in Tarlac, happened where 12 farmers and two children were killed on a violent dispersal in Hacienda Luisita.
Now that Noynoy Aquino running for the presidency on May 2010, the echoes of the two bloody uprisings will still haunt him and questions his integrity to address the issue of land reform. That is why I ask the pro-Noynoys to think very carefully of whom they are supporting with. They are supporting a candidate whose integrity is questioned by this massacres. They are supporting a candidate who has no clear stand on land reforms. You are being hypnotized by this candidate by using their "legacy". And if you vote him, it's not legacy anymore.

At last, after a month of struggle, COMELEC finally released its decision in favor of reinstating Mr. Nicanor Perlas as candidate for president on May 2010 elections. Through resolution 8743, COMELEC reinstated Perlas and senatorial candidate former Army general Danilo Lim to the list of official candidates. This raised the number of candidate for president to 9 and senators to 62.

For the past month since the disqualification of Mr. Perlas, massive street and online protests were made against COMELEC. Blogswarms and tweetswarms were done. And online petitions were signed by thousands of citizens from here and abroad. Even Canadian environmentalist David Suzuki and Australian senator Bob Brown of the Green Party showed their support.

And now efforts have been paid. Our struggle have never been in vain. We have overcome the obstacles. The electorates have won. Now there is a real choice for 2010.

I first thank COMELEC for hearing the voice of the electorates. I also thank those who supported Nick in these hard times. For those who protested on COMELEC and those online. For those people who e-mailed COMELEC and ask them bring back Mr. Perlas. For those who blog and tweet for him. To Mr. David Suzuki and Australian Senator Bob Brown. And to all supporters who never left this battle.

Gibo Considers Nuclear Power

"We need to study other alternative sources of energy, to include nuclear power. It is possible to use it safely."

This is what 2010 presidentiable Gilbert "Gibo" Teodoro said on an interview with Blogwatch.ph.

Would you vote for a president like him who considers nuclear power as an "alternative" source of power?

I think I won't ?

It is proven that nuclear power is too expensive to build(and sometimes a breeding ground for corruption). It is too dangerous to our environment and to humans. Building a nuclear power is like building a massive time bomb. Remember Chernobyl in 1986. We don't want to let that happen to our country. The problem with nuclear wastes also adds to the problems. Where are we gonna dump those wastes.

Yes, there are more other alternatives to produce electricity and energy, BUT NOT NUCLEAR POWER.

You might say, renewable energy resources are also expensive like nuclear power. Maybe, but think about this. Why don't we invest on something that could help lessen the problem of climate change?Can we invest for something that could save you and your children.

On the other hand, Nicanor Perlas, with the help of national and global civil societies, help stop the operation of the BATAAN NUCLEAR POWER PLANT and other NPPs that former president Marcos planned to built. He knew the dangers of nuclear power and he believes it could solve the issue of power crisis and climate change.

So ask yourself, would you vote for someone who considers nuclear power ?

The answer is in your vote.

New Politics Can Wait No Further

I've read Mr. David D'Angelo's blog about the COMELEC's slow action on Mr. Nicanor Perlas' appeal for his reinstatment as a presidential candidate.

On his blog. he wrote,

"Di naman nasusunod yung 5 days. Ang dami namin ginagawa dito!" Iyan ang sagot ng isang clerk of court sa COMELEC nang tanungin ng Secretariat ng Partido ng Marangal na Samabayan (PANGMASA) ang tungkol sa resulta ng apila para kay Nicanor Perlas.

("The 5-day rule is sometimes not observed. We are busy doing things right now!" This is the answer of a COMELEC clerk of court when asked by the Partido ng Marangal na Sambayanan(PANGMASA) secretariat regarding the result of Nicanor Perlas' appeal.)

He also ranted about the 10-day deadline COMELEC has set to issue its decisions on appeal of Mr. Perlas et. al. The decision was set to be announced last Thursday or Friday, but up to now, no decision was announced.

The statement above uttered by this unknown COMELEC official send a chilling effect to new politics. This questions the ability of the election commission to follow the law. Just because COMELEC is going double time to keep up with it's electoral calendar is only a mere excuse. If they only do the right thing and follow deadlines, they shouldn't be at this state. It's the COMELEC that creates their own problems. First, by kicking out a "Green" presidentiable with a good track record and a complex and substantive platform. Now, they are delaying the issuance of the resolution regarding Mr. Perlas' reinstatement which is tantamount to disobeying law.

The supporters of the real new politics are on guard with this situation. We will never put our white flags up and falter our support to Mr. Perlas and his vision of a new politics and new Philippines. Recently,Japanese-Canadian environmental activist David Suzuki and Australian Senator Bob Brown of the Green Party, voiced their support for Mr. Perlas' presidential bid. Not to mention thousands of foreigners who signed the petition here. This shows that this issue echoes not only here but around the world.

IF THIS IS SO, THEN WHY IS THE COMELEC SO SLOW IN ISSUING A RESOLUTION !!!

NEW POLITICS CAN WAIT NO MORE !!!

AND REMEMBER THESE WORDS THAT CONSTITUTE REAL JUSTICE: JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED !!!

I appeal to the supporters of real politics to write to the COMELEC starting now until Monday, January 11, when the COMELEC will issue its resolution. On my previous post, I cited my reasons why I chose Mr. Nicanor Perlas based on his track record and platform. Today is a blogswarming day as a part of our on-line protest against COMELEC's disqualification of Mr. Perlas. 1) Mr. Perlas fought against corruption even without seeking public office. He fought the massive fraud and bribery surrounding the purchase of the BNPP, exposed the corruption at the Department of Agriculture which halted the use of 32 pesticide formulations. He even helped oust Fmr. Pres. Joseph Estrada at EDSA 2.

COMELEC's Criteria For Choosing Presidentiables (For Dummies)

As we all know, it's been day 2 since our Green Presidentiable, Nicanor Perlas, was excluded from the COMELEC's official list of presidentiables. To add insult to our injury, the COMELEC said that we don't have the funds to launch a nationwide campaign. Too absurd for a independent electoral body to comment. I later learned of their criteria that became a standard in choosing presidential candidates. Here's some of the criteria:

1) You need MILLIONS of money to launch a nationwide campaign- No matter how you get the money, either by stealing from taxpayers' money or by criminal activies like drugs, robbery, and kidnapping,it's okay. You're still in for being a candidate for president. Because in every election, MONEY TALKS !!!

2) You must be a well known figure- If you are a son of famous political family, politicians with a "galing sa mahirap" factor under his belt, an ally of a corruptible administration led by "Our Great Leader" President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, or a convicted former president, you are halfway through your victory on your way to Malacanang.

Falling short from these criterias would result in disqualification no matter how serious and strong track record and a complex and substantive platform you have.

What a great and exemplary criteria ! ! !

By this, we can elect another trapo worser than PGMA on next year's election.

It used to be a blogpost about Pinoy mediocrity when I heard this shocking news.
Mr. Nicanor Perlas, the presidential candidate that I support (and we also) was excluded on the list of presidentiables OKed by COMELEC.

Well then, I'll offer this blogspace for the supporters of Mr. Perlas:

Mga Kababayan at Mga Ka-Perlas,

Ngayong Martes ay nagpalabas ng COMELEC ng partial list of presidentiables at wala sa listahang iyon ang ating ibinabandilang kandidato na si Mr. Nicanor Perlas. Sa pagkakataong ito, ay pinatunayan lamang ng COMELEC at ng iilang mga taong kumakapit sa tradisyunal na sistema ng pulitika na takot sila sa tunay na pagbabago na ipinapanukala ni Mr. Perlas. Natakot sila dahil alam nila na ang kanilang pag-hahari-harian ay malapit nang tuldukan ng taumbayan na gusto ng tunay na pagbabago.
Di ako makapaniwala na sa kabila ng kanyang malinis at matatag na track record sa gobyerno na naging pinaghirapan niyang ipinundar sa loob ng apat na dekada ay babalewalain ng COMELEC. Ito ba ang ganti nila sa tunay na pagbabago na gusto rin ng komisyon ? Baka gusto nilang basahin sa website ni Mr. Perlas para alamin ang kanyang track record at ng matauhan.
Ang tanging masasabi ko bilang isang taga-suporta ng isang kandidato na tunay ang kanyang adhikain ay nagpupuyos ang aking damdamin at nagagalit sa mga nangyayari. Ganoon pala ang qualifications ng COMELEC. Napakababa ng standard. Kaya pala low-class ang mga namumuno sa gobyerno.
Ngunit sa kabila ng mga pangyayaring ito, hindi ako nawawalan ng pag-asa ng makakasama pa rin siya sa hanay ng mga presidentiables. Sa ngayon, ayon sa pakikipag-usap ko kay Mr. David D' Angelo, ay may emergency meeting na isinasagawa ang kampo ni Mr. Perlas. Mayroon hanggang Lunes para umapela sa COMELEC at patunayan ang kanilang kaseryosohan.
Para sa ating lahat na sumusuporta sa tunay na makabuluhang pagbabago na ibinabandera ni Perlas sa kanyang kandidatura, huwag tayong panghinaan ng loob. Isa lamang itong pagsubok sa atin. Alam naman nating mangyayari ang mga ganitong aksyon mula sa mga pultiko na ayaw sa tunay at makabuluhang pagbabago. Ngunit tulad ng aking sinabi, HUWAG TAYONG PANGHIHINAAN NG LOOB ! NICANOR PERLAS: THE GENUINE ALTERNATIVE

When I first heard of Mr. Nicanor Perlas, my first reaction was, "Who is this man who dares to run for the highest position in the land ?" I ignored him knowing that he's only at the ranks of Eddie Gil or Atty. Oliver Lozano. But, everyday, my curiosity about this "nuisance" candidate. That was then I heard about his website. I surfed on it and the rest is history. My mindset was changed.His views on different kinds of issues are sound and intelligence. I've even downloaded all his blogpost and read it. He's not just an ordinary "panggulo" nor a mere alternative. HE IS THE GENUINE ALTERNATIVE. Let me tell you why I liked this person to be the next leader of our nation:

TRACK RECORD

Mr. Perlas' track record is an outstanding one. With his expertise as a technical consultant in various government departments and at the United Nations, I think he has guts to serve our people at the highest level. He knows the motions of governance from the inside.

PLATFORM

I've downloaded and read the platform of his party, Partido Ng Marangal Na Sambayanan(PANGMASA). It was a 24-page document. Talagang pinagisipan at pinag-aralan. Different from the rocket-science platform of various politicians. You can read the platform and his profile. on his website. It is complex, substantive, and with a vision.

From these observations, I do believe that Mr. Nicanor Perlas, will be a strong contender at the coming polls. On how his campaign strategy will go, we will find out on the campaign period next year.

That Time Is NOW !!!(An Appeal To All Pinoy Voters)

The clock is ticking to election day on May next year and once again, we will resound our voices through the ballots. But may I ask you this question :

HAVE WE EVER LEARNED ?

Have we ever learned from the past elections we have voted ?
Have we ever learned from the times we voted a traditional politicians ?
Have we ever learned from the times we use our mentality of "choosing the lesser evil" or "there is no other alternative choice" ?

HAVE WE EVER LEARNED ?

As the election day is fast approaching, we must contemplate on these questions before we go the polling precincts. This election is a make or break for all of us. The ballots will tell and decide whether we go into the hands of traditional politicians, or into a politicians with outstanding track record and with a complex and substantive platform. Whether our nation will continue the trapo cycle, our break it once and for all. There are few who stood and challenge the present political system based on personality and power. Let us not judge them at once because sometimes these people who we rejected because they are unpopular to the mainstream media and surveys are the real bearers of "change" in this nation. And those promise change are the ones who brought traditional politics. You know them already. You see them on tv, listen them on radio, or read them on print.
The next election will be the opportunity for us to turn the tide and break the cycle that has been rolling since our independence.

OUR TIME IS NOW !!!

Time to take back the power to its rightful owners. Time to step out to our comfort zones and make a stand for change because we live in a democratic society and the power resides among us and that power will be the tool to change the course of our history. This time is not for the trapos nor the greedy oligarchs. This is our time my friends. There is no time for hesitation and hopelessness, but time for a firm stand and hope for a new nation to be born. A nation that respects every rights of every man, woman, and children. A nation that has a deep respect to God's creation. A nation whose government is one with people in building a better future. A nation that believes that no one is above the law for the rich and the poor. Above all, a nation that has a firm and utmost respect to the Divine Creator.

IT MUST BE DONE NOT TOMORROW, NOT NEXT TIME, NOT ON THE NEXT ELECTIONS, BUT NOW !!!
